Artiste Uma Khan, wife of film actor Helal Khan, sued her husband on allegation of demanding dowry.
She filed the case with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court on Thursday.
Recording the statement of the plaintiff, metropolitan magistrate Amit Kumar Dey issued summon order, asking Helal Khan to appear before it on January 3 next year.
According to case statement, Uma Khan said her husband demanded 80,000 US dollars as dowry on December 7.
